Empowering Women, One Filter at a Time In remote villages of Honduras, clean water isn’t always a guarantee-but hope is. Thanks to our ongoing partnership with Water With Blessings, we were able to train a new group of incredible mothers on how to safely filter drinking water for their families. These women aren’t just protecting their own children-they’re becoming leaders in their communities. Each Water Woman is committed to sharing clean water access with at least three other families. Pope Leo’s Visited Cuba and the diocese of Holguín in 2008 and 2011
Padre Alex in Cuba on the day after Pope Leo’s selection. Padre says, “The new Pope visited our diocese of Holguín in 2008 and 2011, while he was Superior General of the Augustinian Fathers. The Augustinian Fathers were present in our diocese until last year, when they closed their house.” Pope Leo and Bishop Emilio are in the center of the first photo.
